Octroi Charges (India Only):

• Octroi charges, a local tax levied in certain areas (mostly Maharashtra), may be displayed for some destinations within India. These charges are non-refundable and the customer’s responsibility. In the event of order cancellation, octroi charges already levied will not be refunded.

International Duties and Taxes:

• All duties and taxes associated with international shipping are the customer’s responsibility. Alitan Corporation is not liable for any duties or taxes imposed on international shipments.

Returns & Exchanges :

Alitan Corporation acknowledges return requests only for finished leather purchased directly through our website, not through retail outlets.

Damaged Leather:

• If you receive finished leather that appears damaged during transport, please notify Alitan Corporation by email ([email address removed]) within 48 hours of receiving the leather.
• You must also return the damaged leather to our warehouse within one week of delivery.
• Failure to notify us within this timeframe may result in Alitan Corporation being unable to accept the return.
• For damage occurring during transportation, Alitan Corporation will investigate the issue and replace the damaged leather at our expense.
• You are responsible for covering the shipping costs to return the damaged leather.

Quality Concerns:

• In the event you discover a quality concern with the finished leather that is not related to transport damage, such as inconsistencies in thickness, temper, or color variation beyond what was specified, please notify Alitan Corporation by email within two weeks of receiving the leather.
• We may request photos or samples of the leather to assess the issue.
• If the quality concern is confirmed, Alitan Corporation will offer you a replacement of the same leather (subject to availability) or a credit note for the purchase amount.
• You are responsible for covering the shipping costs to return the leather.

Important Exceptions:

• Custom dyed or finished leather cannot be returned or exchanged.

Return Options:

• In the case of a return (excluding damaged leather), Alitan Corporation does not offer cash refunds for the purchase amount.
• You may choose one of the following options:
  • Replacement: Replace the leather with the same type and finish (subject to availability) if available.
  • Credit Note: Receive a credit note for the purchase amount, valid for two months from the date of issue. This credit note can be redeemed for any future purchase of finished leather on our website.

Geographic Limitations:

• Please note that Alitan Corporation’s return and exchange policies are only applicable to the country where the finished leather was purchased.

Cancellation of Order should be allowed within 48 hours from placing the order, once you start with the production, cancellation shouldn’t be allowed. As per the current structure after 48 hours PI is deemed to be the PO.

Cancellation Options:

• • In the event of a timely cancellation, Alitan Corporation does not offer cash refunds for the purchase amount. However, you can choose one of the following options:

• Exchange: Exchange the finished leather for another type or quantity of finished leather from our website, with any price difference being settled upon confirmation of the exchange.

• Cancellation: should be allowed within 48 hours  from placing the order, once you start with the production, cancellation shouldn’t be allowed. As per the current structure after 48 hours PI is deemed to be the PO.

• Credit Note: Receive a credit note for the purchase amount, valid for two months from the date of issue. This credit note can be redeemed for any future purchase of finished leather on our website.

Important Note:

• Order cancellations due to delays in transit caused by unforeseen circumstances are not accepted. In such cases, no credit refund will be provided.
